Clients & Engagements

Who we work with, and how the work runs

Bee Moore Advisory is a young firm, and we would rather say that plainly than dress up a track record we are still building. Below is who we have worked with, and an honest walkthrough of how each type of engagement actually unfolds.

Why there are no case-study numbers on this page. Published results require a client's permission and a verifiable outcome. Where we have neither, we publish nothing. What follows instead are illustrative engagements — accurate descriptions of our method, using representative rather than actual client situations. A firm that sells verification should not be inventing its own proof.

Illustrative Engagements

Four walkthroughs

These describe how we work — not clients we have served. Every situation below is representative and constructed for illustration.

Illustrative — not an actual client

A European manufacturer testing Nigerian demand

The situation
A mid-sized European producer has inbound interest from three Nigerian buyers and wants to know whether to service them by export or set up locally.
What we would do
Establish which of the three buyers is commercially real. Model export against local assembly using the actual duty, logistics and licensing position. Identify the sector regulator and its capital floor so the local-entity option is costed honestly rather than optimistically.
The deliverable
A written brief with a recommendation, cost and timeline ranges for each route, and a shortlist of vetted counterparties.
The likely answer
Usually "export first, incorporate at volume" — because the ₦100m share-capital floor makes premature incorporation expensive.
Illustrative — not an actual client

An investor who has already sent money

The situation
A foreign investor funded a Nigerian venture through an informal channel because it was faster, and now wants to understand their exit position.
What we would do
Establish whether an eCCI was ever issued. Map what was actually documented against what was intended, and coordinate with counsel and an experienced bank on what can still be regularised.
The deliverable
A candid written position on repatriation exposure, and a remediation sequence if one exists.
The honest caveat
Some of this is not fixable after the fact. Capital imported without an eCCI is the single most common way foreign money becomes trapped in Nigeria, and we would rather say so early than bill for optimism.
Illustrative — not an actual client

A buyer seeking a verified Nigerian supplier

The situation
An international buyer has been quoted attractive terms by a Nigerian exporter found online and is ready to send a deposit.
What we would do
Verify the entity against CAC filings, establish who actually owns and controls it, confirm whether the stated processing or warehousing capacity physically exists, and check standing with other counterparties in the market.
The deliverable
A verification report with evidence, unresolved questions and a clear recommendation — proceed, proceed with conditions, or walk away.
Why the sequence matters
A deposit is far easier to send than to recover. Verification costs a fraction of the amount usually at risk, and takes days rather than months.
Illustrative — not an actual client

A firm that should not enter yet

The situation
A founder with a strong product in one market assumes Nigeria is the obvious next step because of population size.
What we would do
Test the assumption. Population is not demand — demand is price, distribution and willingness to pay in naira at a 26.5% policy rate.
The deliverable
Usually a short brief and a recommendation to wait, with the specific conditions that would change the answer.
Why we publish this one
Because it is the most common honest outcome of a first call, and a firm that only ever recommends entry is selling something other than advice.
